If you hate my deviations, you'll really hate my scraps.

People are always asking me what my equipment is, and I needed to write it down for my insurance anyways, so...

Animal Shots
My apologies for the recent submission bombardment. I really didn't intend for 40-some odd deviations to show up on your recent submission list. I was just updating a lot of my photos (for proper exposure and color) and adding borders to them all.
I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!

I think animals make really great subjects, and so I've decided to keep a running list of animals that I've shot. Enjoy... especially the new butterflies!

Spring Cleaning
The scraps feature is awfully handy, so I've decided to move a lot of my images into the scraps area. In the future, I think I'll end up submitting my images as deviations, and then moving them over into the scraps area after a while.
Also, I've made a few purchases lately:
* A Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor ED-IF lens.
* A Gitzo G1228 tripod with a Markins M10 ballhead. For the QR plates, I've picked up the Kirk Photo PZ-92 and the LP-45. Wee! I can't wait for a decent tripod, finally.
Giving, but No Taking.
So... two new, and yet totally unrelated bits of news.
The bad news first. I managed to take an amazing picture of the reflection of a clock tower off of a downtown building that was almost entirely glass. However, just as I was wrapping it up, a security guard came out and asked me what I was doing. I explained, and although he agreed that it was a cool picture, I could not keep them. Apparently, the building was a federal building, and a bunch of people were freaked out about somebody taking a picture of it. Never mind that I was standing out in the middle of the plaza, and not sneaking around. Never mind that if I really wanted to t
Suburban Nightmare
So, it's Easter, and I decided head out to the suburbs to spend some Easter-time with an old friend's family. Well, there's a few hours available before dinner, so I decide to go walk about and take some photos. But, everything is exactly the same - same houses, same lawns, same people. I couldn't find any inspiration at all.
What does everybody else do when you're caught adrift in a sea of look-alike houses? How do you find beauty?
